Zoomers of a certain vintage may find this a surprise; it’s been 50-years since David Bowie’s seminal album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” was released.
The album dropped June 16, 1972 and gave us the hit “Starman.”
In honour of the album’s golden anniversary, a new version of “Starman” is streaming, based on the BBC’s master of Bowie’s 1972 performance on the “Top of the Pops.”
Bowie went on to international stardom.
He died in January 2016 at the age of 69.
