Last week we told you about Fat Bear Day and Fat Bear Week, a competition to find the fattest bear in Alaska’s Katmai National Park.
And the winner is…
Bear 747.
He tipped the scales at slightly more than 1,400 lbs or 636 kilos.
The winner “barely” made into the final because of an unprecedented case of voter fraud in the semi-finals.
Officials says some one decided to spam the Fat Bear Week poll, but fortunately the deception was discovered and the fraudulent votes tossed.
This is Bear 747’s second win, having taken the title in 2020.
He is now considered one of the largest black bears in the world.
