Canada’s women’s national soccer team will defend Olympic gold at next summer’s Paris Olympics.
The women posted a 2 – 1 win over Jamaica last night at a sold-out BMO Field in Toronto, giving the team a 4-1 aggregate victory in the home and home series.
Team captain, and the most prolific scorer in Canadian soccer history, 40-year old Christine Sinclair, got a standing ovation when she was subbed in and likely played her last game on Canadian soil.
