Most Zoomers will remember him as the South African Ambassador in Lethal Weapon 2 who tried to hide behind “diplomatic immunity.”

Prolific British stage and screen actor Joss Ackland has died.

His credits include more than 100 movies and TV series.

A family statement says he brought a unique intensity and gravitas to his roles and will be remembered as one of Britain’s most talented and beloved actors.

He was awarded a CBE in 2000 for his services to acting.

Joss Ackland was 95.
