Reaction continues to the death of comedian Richard Lewis.

He was considered one of the top stand up comics of his day, and was a regular on Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Leading the tributes is David himself who said when they first met at a sport camp at age 12 they hated each other.  But they later reconnected and became like brothers, adding the news of Lewis’ death made him sob and for that David will “never forgive him.”

Lewis was known as the “The Prince of Pain” during his stand-up years, played Marty Gold opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, in “Anything But Love” and was the neurotic Prince John in “Mel Brooks’ Robin Hood: Men In Tights.”

Lewis, who died yesterday at his LA home after suffering a heart attack, had previously announced he had Parkinson’s.

Richard Lewis was 76.
