The Canadian General, who led the ill prepared and ill-equipped UN peace keeping mission during the Rwandan genocide 30-years ago, used the experience to become an international humanitarian icon and author.

Romeo Dallaire was witness to 800,000 Rwandan Tutsis being slaughtered by armed Hutu militias over 100-days in 1994 while the world largely stood by.

Now, the 77-year old former solider has written a book that suggests, through technology and establishing communion with the planet, we can created an environment to find a lasting peace on earth.

The book is titled “The Peace: A Warrior’s Journey.”

It’s in book stores now.
