Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is refusing to say if he plans to call an urgent national caucus meeting that’s been requested by nine Liberals.
Speaking in Montreal Wednesday, Trudeau was repeatedly asked about his future plans, in the wake of calls for him to step down in after his party’s shocking loss in the Toronto St. Paul’s riding.
“I’ve had lots of calls with different members of caucus, from across the country not just from the GTA, to talk about how we make sure we’re continuing our work connecting with Canadians to make sure we’re continuing to deliver for people.”
Trudeau says he’s ‘committed’ to the Liberal leadership despite the loss.
While no official reason has been given, the Prime Minister is no longer going to Calgary Stampede, amid calls for his resignation and will be in Washington four days next week.
