An Emmy-winning character actor, who appeared over the years in some of the most watched TV shows, has died.

Doug Sheehan is probably best known for his role as Doctor Joe Kelley on General Hospital.

His screen acting career began in an episode of “Charlie’s Angels” in 1978. He also made appearances on “Clueless,” “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” and “Knotts Landing.”

On stage he appeared with the National Shakespeare Festival in San Diego.

Cause of death not confirmed.

Doug Sheehan was 75.
