Sunrise Propane has been convicted of violating environmental regulations in connection with a blast in north Toronto in August 2008 that killed a worker, forced 12-and-a-half thousand from their homes and caused millions in damage.
A second employee escaped the blast which happened during a truck-to-truck propane transfer.
A responding firefighter died of a heart attack.
The company and its two directors have been found guilty of nine provincial-offences charges in the class-action suit.
Sunrise and its directors could face millions in fines at sentencing.
