Two Canadian girls have been seriously injured in the terrorist assault on a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya.
A Minnesota woman says her nieces – 17-year-old Fardosa and 16-year-old Dheman Abdi moved to Nairobi three years ago. Their father has a real estate business in the city.
She says Fardosa is in critical condition while Dheman is recovering from explosion and bullet wounds.
Two Canadians were among the 62 people killed in the weekend attack.
Meanwhile – Prime Minister Harper isn’t commenting on a report that a Canadian was among the terrorists who conducted the attack.
But he is insisting there is no “mass phenomenon” of homegrown radicalization in Canada.
Kenyan security forces are in the final stages of flushing the attackers out of the mall.
Three attackers were killed in today’s fighting and more than 10 suspects arrested.
