A Norman Rockwell painting depicting a boy and woman bowed in prayer in a restaurant has been sold for a record 46-million-dollars – more than double the pre-sale estimate.
Sotheby’s auction house says the sale of Saying Grace has set an auction record for works by the Saturday Evening Post illustrator.
Two other Rockwell paintings sold for a combined total of 11.7-million-dollars.
