Add another candidate to the field – in the race to unseat Rob Ford as Mayor of Toronto.
Sarah Thomson arrived by horse and buggy this morning at Toronto City Hall – to file her papers as a candidate in the October municipal election.
Thomson’s mode of transportation highlighted part of her platform on investing in transit.
She says she wants to see priority put on the Yonge Street relief line – and supports road tolls for non-residents using the Gardiner expressway and the Don Valley Parkway.
Thomson ran for Mayor in 2010 but dropped out of the race – to support George Smitherman.
There are now 32 candidates registered in the race for mayor.
The municipal election is set for Monday, October 27th.
