Negotiatons continue as the clock ticks down on the latest deadline set by the Islamic Terror group, threatening to kill two hostages. Japanese officials are working feverishly to gain the release of journalist Kenji Goto and Jordanian officials have announced they’ll exchange an AL-Qaida affiliated woman on Jordan’s death row, to free an Jordanian fighter pilot.
The Japanese government says a message believed to be from Goto was released online last night, hours after Jordan offered to hand over the would-be suicide bomber. The recording announced a Thursday sunset deadline for the exchange at the Turkish border.
The woman in question was convicted of an 2005 terrorist bombing in Amman that took 60 lives.
