Some bad news for Volkswagen.
The Environmental Protection Agency in the U.S. is calling for a massive recall – of nearly half a million Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.
The E-P-A claims that during testing, V-W used a piece of software that enabled its cars to emit fewer pollutants than the vehicles would in normal conditions.
The agency has ordered the company to fix the cars at its own expense.
The German automaker also faces billions of dollars in fines – for allegedly skirting clean air laws.
