AIR MILES SAYS SORRY, THREE MONTHS LATER

If you`re one of the many Air Miles rewards members then you may have already received, or soon will, a letter from the head of the program.
Blair Cameron writes that the loyalty program “learned very difficult, public and humbling lessons“ last year.
The popular rewards program angered many members when it proposed to void unused Air Miles after five years, only to abandon the idea weeks before it was to take effect.
The about face provoked outcry from members who said they redeemed their miles believing they were about to expire and would not have done so if they`d known Air Miles was going to change its mind.
Cameron says the company`s committed to improving wait times for those trying to contact Air Miles over the phone or through its website.
