The life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy will be celebrated today on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The United States Postal Service plans to commemorate Kennedy’s centennial with a dedication of a new JFK postage stamp. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will hold a birthday celebration that includes a flyover from the U.S. Navy. The Boston museum has unveiled a new exhibit which features 100 original artifacts, documents and photographs from Kennedy’s life and political career.
A wreath-laying ceremony is planned today to honour the 35th U.S. president at his graveside at Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington D.C.
