Toronto dog owners are being warned of a blitz to make sure their pets on are on leashes in city parks.
Toronto’s new bylaw enforcement director says he’s going to be cracking down on dog owners who let their pets roam without a leash.
Rod Jones says he’s planning a blitz by placing officers on patrol in parks during peak times. Fifteen bylaw officers will be used to monitor activity in some 1500 parks across Toronto.
He’s reacting to an increase in the number of complaints about off leash dogs. Those who violate the leash law risk a $365 fine.
