If you have knee pain from arthritis, you may want to consider losing some weight.
A new study out of Wake Forest University analyzed data from 240 overweight and obese adults with pain and knee osteoarthritis from a previous trial.
The adults were divided into four groups according to how much weight they lost over 18 months.
Researchers wanted to see if the group that lost 20 per cent had better pain outcomes. And they did! Everyone who lost 20 percent of their weight had the most reduced overall pain and inflammation and better quality of life and mobility.
