She was best known to international audiences as the first French “Bond Girl”
French actress Claudine Auger who played opposite Sean Connery in 1965’s “Thunderball” has died in Paris.
She began her career as a model and represented France at the 1958 Miss World competition.
Her first major dramatic part was in the 1962 Three Musketeers’ movie “The Iron Mask.” But it was playing “Domino” in the fourth Bond film that made her famous.
Claudine Auger was 78.
