The last of the three patients has had two negative test results at least 24-hours apart – the threshold for being cleared.
The three were a married Toronto couple and a young female university student in London; all of whom had recently been to the epicentre of the global outbreak in central China.
The man had been hospitalized at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre upon his return, while his wife had been in self-isolation at their home with milder symptoms.
The university student’s case was so mild that initial tests came back negative.
She was only confirmed to have had COVID-19 through a second sets of tests.
The overwhelming majority of global cases have been in China where more than 75,000 have contracted it and at least 2,200 have died.
