The 100-year old former Army Captain, who became a hero by raising millions of pounds for UK health care workers, is being knighted today by Queen Elizabeth in a private ceremony at Windsor Castle.
“Sir” Tom said never in his life did he think he’d ever be knighted, but added he liked the sound of “Sir” Tom Moore.
The World War II veteran raised a record sum of $41-million by taking pledges to walk 100 laps of his garden in April in the run-up to his landmark birthday.
