The province of Quebec is looking to expand its own law regarding assisted dying suggesting the federal definition of ‘reasonably foreseeable” is too restrictive. The definition does not permit those who are diagnosed with some form of dementia to give advanced consent for a medically assisted death. CARP COO and VP of Advocacy Wanda Morris and Dying With Dignity Canada CEO Shanaaz Gokool will join us to discuss the issue.
