Dr. Eric Hoskins stepped down as health minister yesterday, saying he’s determined to continue building better healthcare for all Canadians, adding that path and journey will become clearer in the days ahead. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will reportedly appoint Hoskins to lead a federal commission looking at a national Pharmacare program. We spoke with experts Dr. Nadia Alam, OMA President Elect and Professor Steve Morgan from the School of Population and Public Health at UBC to get their take on what lies ahead for Canadian health care.
