The first phase of the new air passengers’ bill of rights takes effect today. It will require airlines to compensate passengers up 2400 dollars if they are bumped off the flight and 2100 if their luggage is lost.
It also mandates that airlines provide clear communication to passengers about their rights and provide timely updates for delays or cancellations.
Libby Znaimer is joined by John Mckenna, CEO and President of Air Transport Association of Canada and Ariël Roy, Lawyer at Flight Claim.
