11:30 am ET | Kim Brown
GUEST – Kim Brown, Activity Director at Riverwood Senior Living in Alliston Ontario.
TOPIC – Physiotherapy treatments for seniors in Retirement Homes cut out effective August 1.
INFO – Kim Brown is advocating for seniors across Ontario who are going to be effected by these cutbacks.
Kim wants to get the word out about how important physiotherapy is in the Retirement Home setting, and how important it is to keep it there.
She sees the daily need for seniors to live active lives through physiotherapy. She has been in the industry for 15 years, and decided to spearhead this and advocate for her seniors. Kim will discuss the following issue… where else will seniors go to get this care? How will seniors in stages of dementia access their own transportation? What will the additional costs be? How will reassessment of care plans stunt recovery?
