For the first time in its almost 100-year history, The Walt Disney Company will have a woman chairing the board.

67-year old Susan Arnold, who has been a Disney board member for 14 year, will succeed Bob Iger at the end of the year.

She was formerly an executive at a global investment firm.

Iger stepped down as Disney’s chief executive in 2020 after 15 years in the role and leaves the company at the end of the month.

Iger’s exit marks the end of an era for Disney. He’s been in a senior role at the company since 1996.
