Better buckle up.

The Ontario Provincial Police will be out in force this Easter Weekend checking on seat belt use.

As an adult driver, you are responsible for wearing a seat belt and ensuring any minors in the car are buckled up.  Adult passengers are responsible for their own seat belt use.

Failure to wear a seat belts carries a $250 fine plus demerit points.

Last Easter, provincial police laid almost 300 seatbelt charges over the long weekend and last year more than 60 Ontarians died in collisions where seat belts were not in use.
