Sir Paul McCartney says he’s keen to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and he’s encouraging everyone else to get a shot.
In an interview, the 78-year-old said “the vaccine will get us out of this.” He added, “I’ll have it as soon as I’m allowed.”
The singer-songwriter is also downplaying the odds he’ll go on tour next year to support his latest album, released this week.
He says he’d love to play at Britain’s Glastonbury music festival, but notes that with 100,000 people closely packed together, it would be a superspreader.
Meantime, another famous Brit has received the vaccine.
81-year-old actor Ian McLellen says he feels “euphoric” after receiving his first dose of the vaccine this week.
