Vaccination efforts are continuing at a breakneck pace across the GTA this weekend.
Toronto is marking another threshold being passed with 60% of eligible people now being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
“There’s more than 20 clinics happening in this region over the coming week in common rooms and churches and basketball courts and community centres,” said councillor Joe Cressy. He also chairs the Toronto Board of Public Health. “Hours are flexible with clinics running into the evening so if you’re a shift worker, you can get on your way coming in or out.”
Peel Region has also continued their rapid rollout. The region recently passed 50% vaccinated an look to up that this weekend.
A 40-hour vaccination marathon started Saturday at the Brampton Soccer Centre. It wraps up at 11pm Sunday night.
