England’s Sir David Attenborough has been named a Champion of the Earth by the UN’s Environment Program.
The prestigious award recognizes the 95-year-old’s commitment to telling stories about the natural world and climate change and warning us of our behaviours and the consequences of those behaviours.
The UN says it chose to recognize Sir David because of his devotion to broadcasting the natural world, which he’s been doing since the 1950’s.
Sir David’s latest documentary is called “The Green Planet.”
It was released earlier this year.
